| Your house is located 3 km from a small community, Chumsaeng. In the village there is a bank, a post office, a hospital, an indoor market and a number of small shops and simple restaurants. There are a few internet cafés available. Chumsaeng is ideally located as a starting point for excursions. You may rent motorcycles from us and get around on your own. You may also choose to use our transport service. In our Toyota pickup I can take you just about anywhere at a reasonable fee. If you are more than 4 persons some will have to sit at the back of the pickup. Somewhat uncomfortable but the wind is cool. To be sure, you will normally have to tell me the day before if you require transport. I charge 5 Bath/km + 1 Baht/person/km. You may also rent our pickup if this suits you better. Khao Chamao, a national park and waterfall. The distance is approx. 25 km. Take a swim in the cool, clean waters. Ideal for picnic. |
The island Koh Samet, national park with very nice beaches. Distance, 50 km to the ferry port in Ban Phe. The boat ride to Koh Samet takes about 40 minutes. You may stay the day or you may prefer to spend a night in one of the nice bungalows, 500-2000 Bath. There are no hotels on this island. |

Distance approx. 20 km. 18 hole golf course in the beautiful hills. We believe this course could be a challenge for the experienced golfer. No licences are required and all equipment may be rented. The price is about 1500 Bath for a single person. There are cheaper packages for groups. You will also find numerous golf courses on the way to Pattaya 50 to 90 km away. |
Watt Them Partum, Buddhist temple and caves. Combine with a visit to "The planet of the Apes". The distance is about 25 km. There are a number of other temples to visit. Some with breathtaking views of the valleys below.

Laem Mae Phim, Ban Phe. Nice beaches with delicious and inexpensive food served on the beach. Distance 45 km to Laem Mae Phim and 50 km to Ban Phe. Swim in the ocean and enjoy your food and drinks at one of the numerous restaurants on the beach. Enjoy fresh fish and seafood at low prices. You may also bring along what you want to consume. You will probably stay the day, time passes quickly here... |
Chantaburi Large town approximately 100 km away. Swim with dolphins, visit temples, waterfalls and more. |

| Rayong Large town approximately 45 km from Chumsaeng. Find markets, both local with everything for sale and shopping-malls western style with everything from home available. Rayong also offers an interesting night life.

Klaeng (Sam Yan) A city 23 km from Chumsaeng. On Tuesdays a giant outdoor market is held. You can find almost everything here. Fun just to walk around but take the opportunity to buy something. It's cheap ... Outside Klaeng you can go mussel-picking in the saltwater mud delta. |

| Horse riding If you like riding we recommend a riding club 50 km away. It is run by a Thai who speaks excellent English. The prices are low and you may ride both imported big horses and the somewhat smaller Thai horses. You may ride out or take lessons here. Outside Pattaya, about 100 km away, a German national runs a riding club, or outdoor stables as he prefers to call it. He has been running the horse club for many years. The prices are a little higher here but it is still very inexpensive compared to Europe. You may combine a trip to the outdoor stables with a visit to Pattaya. |
Thamnanpar Outside Ban Phe, approximately 50 km from Chumsaeng you will find a restaurant well known in Thailand. The large restaurant consists of a number of exquisite wooden buildings. The surroundings are made up to look as if you are in the Thai forest. There are numerous plants and flowers and there are waterfalls and small lakes with live fish. The food tastes great. Well worth a visit. |
